Maude is a character to say the least. Many people and animals, if they could talk, have stories about her and not all totally complementary, which is of no concern to Maude whatsoever. I found her on a dam bank just a day or two old, a tiny bundle all alone and covered in little burrs. We waited, but none of the nannies claimed her for the whole day, so late in the afternoon I became her adopted mother. Maude simply assumed she was part of the family and so felt she should be able to go with us wherever and whenever she wanted. We were looking over some old workers cottages on our property with a view to renovating them and turning them into Air BnB accomodation and Maude decided to come along too. I always say that she has a face only a mother could love, so perhaps as Maude does her own building inspection, I caught her best side on camera.
