These two characters are mother and daughter. Butter and Peanut respectively. Butter came to us from the paddock already pregnant. She had a terrible wound in her knee joint which eventually healed after much nursing attention. One stormy night, we came out to find tiny Peanut had made her appearance. They camped out in the shearing shed when not out and about feeding in the nearby paddock and used to sticky-beak out the window. It’s been quite awhile now since they’ve gone back out into the big herd and have both had more offspring. With wounded or sick animals you have to know when to quit but also when some perseverance might get a good result. This was one of the good ones.
