As a fan of the classic Narnia Chronicles by CS Lewis, I almost expect the haughty white witch, with servile entourage, to emerge through the trees. Floating almost silently in some sort of stately skiff, straight out of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Fantastical imaginings aside, this image was actually taken at the fabulous Lara Wetlands. A property open to camping tourism just outside of Barcaldine.
